What context-inspector looks like in use

No recording yet for context-inspector. The repository README has the details.

Before you install

A mod is not sandboxed. It runs inside Claude Code with your permissions. This one:

  • can read Conversation event metadata
  • can read paths
  • can read commands and compaction content
  • can write Optional local JSONL inspection ledger

Check it yourself before running it: git clone https://github.com/YeonwooSung/my-claude-code-mods && claude plugin validate ./ · Apache-2.0 licensed

Install

claude plugin marketplace add YeonwooSung/my-claude-code-mods
claude plugin install context-inspector@my-claude-code-mods

Then run /context-inspect inside the session.

Needs Claude Code 2.1.287 or later. After installing, run /reload-plugins if the session was already open. Full install guide

What changes after installation

/context-inspect reports what occupies the window and separates useful repeated reads from unchanged copies that may be waste. It also groups similar tool outputs, reviews what survived compaction and suggests narrower reads or smaller tool results.

/context-pane keeps the overview visible. /context-export writes the inspection ledger for external analysis.

Good to know

Per-item token sizes are estimates, and lexical similarity is not semantic equivalence. Advice is evidence for your own cleanup, not an instruction to delete context blindly. Stars belong to the entire multi-mod repository.
