What agent-profiler looks like in use

No recording yet for agent-profiler. The repository README has the details.

Before you install

A mod is not sandboxed. It runs inside Claude Code with your permissions. This one:

  • can read Model timing
  • can read Every prompt you send
  • can read commands
  • can read paths and tool metadata
  • can write Local OpenTelemetry trace files

Check it yourself before running it: git clone https://github.com/YeonwooSung/my-claude-code-mods && claude plugin validate ./ · Apache-2.0 licensed

Install

claude plugin marketplace add YeonwooSung/my-claude-code-mods
claude plugin install agent-profiler@my-claude-code-mods

Then run /profile inside the session.

Needs Claude Code 2.1.287 or later. After installing, run /reload-plugins if the session was already open. Full install guide

What changes after installation

/profile explains where session time went: waiting for the model, running tools, approvals, subagents and engine overhead. /profile-pane keeps the breakdown visible. Reports include slow tools, request latency and repeated file reads.

/profile-export writes an OpenTelemetry snapshot. With a collector endpoint configured, traces can also be sent to Jaeger, Grafana Tempo or another OTLP-compatible system.

Good to know

This is a profiling tool, not a precise measurement of compute inside the model. Idle time between turns is excluded. The star count belongs to the author’s multi-mod repository, not to this plugin alone.
