What loop-detective looks like in use

No recording yet for loop-detective. The repository README has the details.

Before you install

A mod is not sandboxed. It runs inside Claude Code with your permissions. This one:

  • can read Bash commands
  • can read failure output
  • can read working folder and edited paths

Check it yourself before running it: git clone https://github.com/YeonwooSung/my-claude-code-mods && claude plugin validate ./ · Apache-2.0 licensed

Install

claude plugin marketplace add YeonwooSung/my-claude-code-mods
claude plugin install loop-detective@my-claude-code-mods

Then run /loop-report inside the session.

Needs Claude Code 2.1.287 or later. After installing, run /reload-plugins if the session was already open. Full install guide

What changes after installation

Three matching failures open a case with the command, failing line, call numbers and files edited between attempts. Edit-and-retry cycles are labeled separately from exact retries.

/loop-report prints the evidence, /loop-pane keeps live cases visible and /loop-reset clears them. Successful or changed outcomes close a case with an appropriate status.

Good to know

Repeated failure is a clue, not proof of an unproductive loop. Edits made through Bash or outside Claude Code are not attributed in the same way as edit-tool changes. The repository-wide star count is not a per-mod metric.
