What agent-router looks like in use

No recording yet for agent-router. The repository README has the details.

Before you install

A mod is not sandboxed. It runs inside Claude Code with your permissions. This one:

  • can read Endpoint model catalog and subagent routing events
  • can write Model assignments and local routing records
  • can reach The network

Check it yourself before running it: git clone https://github.com/alexandernicholson/agent-router && claude plugin validate ./ · MIT licensed

Install

claude plugin marketplace add alexandernicholson/agent-router
claude plugin install agent-router@agent-router-tools

Then run /agent-models inside the session.

Needs Claude Code 2.1.287 or later. After installing, run /reload-plugins if the session was already open. Full install guide

What changes after installation

Use /agent-models to choose models for scout, reviewer, security-reviewer, task and sonic roles. New matching subagents receive those model and effort settings. /agent-router:routes shows the requested assignment, applied model and observed usage.

This is designed for Anthropic-compatible gateways, proxies and local servers that expose GET /v1/models. It does not supply a model or provider itself.

Good to know

The endpoint is fixed at session start. Use /agent-models-apply for saved assignment changes in the current session. Remote agent isolation and some experimental teammate setups have restrictions; read the current repository notes before relying on them.
